Saint Michaels: The Destination
As everything begins to open back up in this quaint historic town of Saint Michaels, our guests will enjoy all the amenities and attractions this town has to offer. Some are the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum which is a short walk across the beautiful Honeymoon Bridge from our waterfront Inn. The Museum is huge, and it will take at least half a day to tour all the sights including the 1879 Hooper Straight Lighthouse. The Patriot Cruises is also located next to the CBMM and you can tour St. Michaels by water and see some of the locations that the “Wedding Crashers” movie was filmed. There is also a small Saint Michaels Museum on Chestnut Street. Guests can park their cars in our private parking lot and walk to everything for their entire stay from restaurants to museums, shops, post office and attractions.
The town is also famous for its Winefest event where the proceeds are donated to local charities. Other events include The Chocolate Festival, The Running Festival, Beer Fest, Midnight Madness, Antique Car Parade, Running Santas Marathon, Christmas Parade and many other small-town events. Most have been rescheduled due to the Chinese Virus, so please check the Experience St. Michaels website for the new dates and other things to do.
If you wish to walk to and eat in some of the best restaurants, Saint Michaels has some wonderful ones. Fine dining is found at Talbot 208 Restaurant, Italian dining at Limoncello with their limoncello martini, and the meatballs at Ava’s Pizzeria and Wine Bar, and the American food at Theo’s Steakhouse while The Galley is great for breakfast and lunch. There are also many others that specialize in oysters and seafood. Of course, there are numerous ice cream shops also.
So, plan to stay a long weekend because you still will not be able to do everything that St. Michaels has to offer.
We would love for you to stay in our waterfront Hambleton Inn Bed & Breakfast and return every year.
